my background

I am a Clinical Psychologist with over 15 years’ experience working in NHS, third sector and private practice. I hold a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of East London and am registered with the HCPC.

Alongside my private therapy work, I work as the Clinical Lead in a Neurodevelopmental assessment clinic, where I lead and supervise other clinicians' assessment work, as well as conducting Autism and ADHD assessments myself. My NHS career has largely been within CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Teams), working with children and teenagers struggling with significant mental health difficulties, as well as within early intervention. I also have experience working in adult mental health teams, and with parents supporting their children.

Across these settings, I’ve developed a particular interest in working with adolescents, neurodivergent individuals, and adults struggling with low-self esteem and perfectionism.

I support adolescents and adults with a range of difficulties, as outlined on the ‘Therapy’ page. From anxiety and low mood, through to trauma, self-esteem, and neurodevelopmental support.

Therapeutic Approaches:

I work integratively, drawing upon a range of therapeutic models and tailoring my approach to the individual and their specific needs.

The approaches I use include:

• CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy)

• ACT (Acceptance and Commitment therapy)

• NET (Narrative-Exposure Therapy)

• MBT-A (Mentalisation Based Therapy for Adolescents)

• CFT (Compassion Focused Therapy)

I also have specialist training in Autism, ADHD, executive functioning difficulties, and parenting interventions.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and being in nature.

Training, Consultation and Supervision:

Alongside therapeutic work, I provide training, consultation, and supervision to professionals.

I have delivered training to a range of organisations and professionals, including social workers, police officers, and mental health practitioners. I regularly provide consultation to psychologists and other mental health professionals and offer supervision to junior psychologists.

Bespoke training packages can be developed according to organisational requirements. Consultation and supervision are typically charged at £130 per hour.

Professional Registration:

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), the statutory regulator for Practitioner Psychologists in the UK. My HCPC registration number is: PYL33545
